Description

Product Description The anti-sweat temperator valve has a cast brass body with two built in check valves to prevent cross flow between the hot and cold supply lines. The handle is detented in the selected positions that adjust the hot water flow rate. The largest hot water flow is obtained with the handle in a position parallel with the valve body. All of the metal component parts of the valve are brass. The temperator is made with two drain screws to drain water trapped by the internal check valves. The temperator with a "RC" suffix has a rough chrome plated finish. According to the directions you can use a 1/4 inch line to the valve because very little hot water is required. That wasn't the case for me. I ran a 1/4 inch line to the valve with little to no temperature change at 62 degrees Fahrenheit. I replaced that with the 3/8 inch line and now I'm able to get 78 degrees Fahrenheit. I only saw two valve options and I chose this one because of the cold water inlet and outlet are lined up for easier plumbing and it has a lever to adjust the temperature.
